SOLVIS Business Talks
We have many years of expertise in the IT security field and we know how important it is to raise the awareness of all employees and functions within the organisation to IT security topics.
With this in mind we have created the SOLVIS Business Talks. What are these?
During an interactive 1-2 hours session, we explain in simple words some technological aspects of Company Security, Data Confidentiality and Intellectual Property Protection.
These talks are aimed at non-technical business people who need to work at the interface of IT and the business, which today means almost everybody in the company. IT security is often perceived as complex and shrouded mystery. Because we aim to reduce that complexity, don't expect us to talk in bits and bytes during these sessions; we will talk just plain business. If you want a technically orientated workshop tailored to your needs, we can certainly provide you with that too but this is not the aim of the SOLVIS Business Talks.
We currently offer the following topics at our SOLVIS Business Talks.
Why is IAM strategic?
Either for the HR department or the different business units of a company, Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a cornerstone of a company's IT security. Most often ignored, often poorly-implemented; it is nevertheless an essential part of every company's infrastructure and a necessity in order to protect intellectual property and trade secrets. IAM impacts every part of a company's value chain and should be a concern not only to the IT department, but also the executive and non-executive boards of a company. Internal Control Systems are required by law (e.g. Swiss Obligations Code art 728 a & b) and IAM can be an effective part of the control systems. This SOLVIS Business Talk explains to non technical people what the stakes of such an implementation are and why it has business relevance at a strategic level.
Why be cautious with Enterprise assets?
You might know that the yellow sticker under the keyboard has the Manager's credentials written on it or that the secretary uses her favourite pet's name for her passwords! These behaviours can have some serious and unpleasant consequences for your company, and consequently all employees. With simple language and concrete examples, we explain the basics of enterprise data confidentiality and how to best protect your organisation's intellectual property.
Some feedbacks
This Business Talk was an interactive and concrete presentation on the strategic importance and relevance of IT security to our business as well as the enabling capabilities that IT security can deliver.
